Your editor and AI, synced with Roblox Studio

Roblox IDE with AI and an MCP server

RoIDE live-syncs your Roblox Luau scripts between real files, Roblox Studio and AI apps like Claude and Cursor, through a built-in Roblox MCP server.

One app, three jobs

Questions, answered

Is RoIDE like Rojo?

It solves a similar problem differently. RoIDE syncs both ways while you work, touches only scripts and the folders that hold them, and never needs a project.json. Your map, models and UI stay in Studio.

Which AI apps does it work with?

Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor are set up in one click from the RoIDE app. Anything that speaks MCP can connect the same way.

Do I need VS Code?

No. Use any editor, or none: AI apps work straight from the RoIDE app. The VS Code and Cursor extension adds Luau completion for your game if you want it.

Where do my projects live?

In a folder you choose. New projects go to your projects folder, which you can change in Settings at any time.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free RoIDE account. You use it to download RoIDE and to sign in to the app, which opens this site's sign-in page in your browser. Accounts are run by Keyed (keyed.re).
